Mt Hope United Church of Christ
Welcome to Mt. Hope United Church of Christ. We are nestled in the woodlands and farmlands of Blue Knob, near the Blue Knob Ski resort and the Blue Knob State Park.
Our congregation is made up of professionals, farmers, retirees, office workers, homemakers, and blue-collar workers and young folk. Young and old alike enjoy a family oriented worship atmosphere, where all are welcome. Sunday school is an important part or our Sunday Morning. We offer classes for all ages,
including adults.
Fellowship is also very important to us. On the 2nd Sunday of each month, we have a covered dish supper or in the summer time, and old-fashioned campfire weenie roast! Sometimes we have a program afterward, but mostly we just like to get together.
We are active in the Juniata Association of the Penn West Conference and the Claysburg/East Freedom Ministerium, where our pastors are active
participants.
Mission is important to us. We support various ministries and missions through our Churches Wider Mission Offerings as well as the local food bank, and many others.
If you are planning to visit our area, we would love for you to join us for worship. We are handicapped accessible.
